This beautiful looking toy provides an amazing outlet for a child to unleash their creative ability with the added twist of trying to lock the pattern in using the nuts and bolts set. With the simple coloured rhombus pieces and triangle pieces, the child can make an amazing number of different patterns both on the bolted wooden base, as well as acting like a mosaic tile freestyle on the floor.
The fact that the toy uses equilateral triangles & rhombuses to create patterns inherently increases the understanding of geometric construction. Also, equilateral triangle is one of the fundamental shapes which can be used to create many other geometrical figures like trapezium, parallelogram, other triangles and more.
Set includes a wooden base with SS bolts fixed on them, 3 rhombus pieces, 4 triangle pieces, 12 SS nuts and a detailed instruction manual all packed in a Skola Doodle Box.

Open the box. Look at one of the triangle pieces that is held down by one nut. Show the child how to turn the nut in the counter clockwise direction to open it. When it becomes loose, remove the nut out of the bolt. Remove the triangle out. Then put it back in and screw the nut back on.

2D Pattern Formation

Show the child how to unscrew the nuts and take the pieces out. Then show the child how to create any one pattern from the given options using the triangles and rhombuses, and screw the nuts back on.
