Birds are fascinating creatures for children because of their ability to fly. That's what makes this toy so enjoyable for them. When they pair the bird images to their respective shadows, they get curious to know that shapes are not only associated to physical objects but also to images or illustrations. This indicates that shape is an abstract property of any object. Children also learn the names of these ten birds and get interested in knowing more about them.
Set includes a partitioned high tray with handles, 10 bird cards with 10 wooden envelopes and a detailed instruction manual all packed in a beautiful Skola Doodle box.

After they learn the multidimensional and abstract properties of shape, children are tested on how well they can retain information about basic shapes while also moving from a single-step process to two-step processes (See How).

Name Game

Once the child has played with toy enough, start introducing the names of birds in 3 stages: a. Introduction: Name clearly b. Recognition: Ask the child to identify the bird. c. Confirmation: Ask, “Which bird is this?”

Memory Game
- Keep away the inner pieces with the birds on them in a tray. Place the outer envelopes in a line. Place a shell on any one outer piece. Ask the child to bring its other pair from the tray.
